Workplace signage is usually installed into a live building, which makes access and disruption as important as the design. Most of our office work happens in the evening or at a weekend, and the survey is as much about how we get a three metre panel through the lobby as it is about dimensions.
The scope is usually the same: identify the building from outside, get visitors from the car park to reception, brand the reception wall, meet the glazing regulations, and name the meeting rooms in a way that survives a reshuffle.
