Window graphics and manifestations

Etch effect manifestation, printed window vinyl, opening hours and promotional graphics, specified to meet the glazing regulations rather than retrofitted after an inspection. See our guide for more detail.

Two different jobs on the same glass

Window graphics do two unrelated things. One is marketing: identifying the business, listing hours, running promotions. The other is compliance: making large areas of glazing visible so people do not walk into them.

The compliance side is governed. Full height glazing and glass doors need manifestation at two heights under Approved Document K. That requirement is usually met with plain frosted bands, but there is no reason it cannot carry your brand pattern instead and do both jobs at once.

Before you order

Manifestation heights are specified rather than chosen, and a building inspector will check them. Applying a decorative graphic at the wrong heights means doing the job twice. We set the compliant heights first and design the pattern within them.

What we need to quote

  • Photographs of the glazing with something for scale
  • Pane sizes if you have them
  • Whether the glazing is full height or has a transom
  • Any brand pattern or artwork you want carried
Full height office glazing with two continuous bands of elegant frosted dot manifestations, accurately fitted around the glass entrance door, natural light and believable reflections.

One way vision

Privacy in daylight while retaining outward view.

Common questions

Is window manifestation a legal requirement?

Yes for full height glazing and glass doors, which need manifestation at two specified heights under Approved Document K. A building inspector will check it.

Can manifestation carry our branding?

Yes. The compliant heights are fixed, but the pattern within them can be your brand rather than plain frosted dots, so it meets the regulation and does the marketing at once.

Should window graphics go inside or outside the glass?

Inside wherever possible. The film lasts longer, is protected from weather and vandalism, and is easier to remove cleanly.

Got glazing to treat?

Send photographs of the glass. We will confirm the compliant heights and propose a pattern that carries your brand.
