Scaffold banners and wraps

Printed mesh banners and full scaffold wraps that turn a scaffolded elevation into scheme marketing, engineered for wind loading rather than simply printed and tied on.

Wrap loading and fixing should always be agreed with the scaffold contractor; the National Access and Scaffolding Confederation sets the industry safety guidance we work to. See our guide for more detail.

Turning scaffolding into an asset

A scaffolded elevation is dead frontage for the length of the build. A printed mesh wrap turns it into the largest piece of advertising on the street, and on residential schemes it frequently sells units before the marketing suite opens.

Mesh rather than solid PVC is not a cost decision. Solid banner on a scaffold acts as a sail, and wind loading on a full elevation is substantial.

Before you order

Scaffold wraps change the wind loading on the scaffold, and the scaffolder must confirm the structure is designed for it before anything is fitted. Some local authorities also treat a wrap as advertisement requiring consent. Both need settling before the banner is printed.

What we need to quote

  • Elevation dimensions and the scaffold layout
  • Confirmation the scaffold is designed to take a wrap
  • How long it needs to stay up
  • Artwork or a design brief
A British building renovation enclosed by real scaffolding with a large printed mesh banner securely tensioned with evenly spaced ties, visible perforated texture and plausible scaffold geometry.

Specification

Printed mesh

Perforated to pass wind. The correct specification for any scaffold elevation.

Hem and eyelets

Reinforced perimeter with eyelets at close centres, bungee fixed.

Panelling

Large elevations split into manageable panels with joins set out deliberately.

Solid PVC

Only for small, sheltered positions where wind loading is not a factor.

Life

Twelve to eighteen months outdoors before colour shift becomes noticeable.

Common questions

Do scaffold wraps need approval?

Two things. The scaffolder must confirm the structure is designed to take the additional wind loading, and some local authorities treat a wrap as advertisement requiring consent.

Why use mesh rather than solid banner on scaffold?

A solid PVC banner acts as a sail, and wind loading across a full elevation is substantial. Perforated mesh passes wind and is the correct specification for any scaffold.

How long does a scaffold banner last?

Twelve to eighteen months outdoors before colour shift becomes noticeable, which covers most build programmes.

Wrapping a scaffold?

Send the elevation dimensions and we will confirm what the scaffolder needs to sign off.
